Privacy Policy

Cafeworld is a map where people share small moments from cafes. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. In short: we only collect what the app needs to work, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

• Your account. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture, and use them to create your Cafeworld profile.
• What you post. Photos, captions, vibe tags, reviews, ratings, comments, lists and crews you create.
• Location, only if you choose. If you tap “use my location”, your browser shares your position so we can centre the map. We do not store it. If you set a home city, we save that city and its coordinates so the map can open there.
• On your device. We keep your last map position, your last viewed place and any unfinished pin draft in your browser's local storage. That stays on your device.
• Basic analytics. Aggregate page-view analytics so we know which pages get used. No advertising profiles.

How we use it

To run the service: show your moments on cafe walls and your board, rank cafes and pinners, power search, send you notifications about follows, likes and comments, and keep the place free of spam and abuse.

What's public

Your display name, profile picture, and the moments you pin are public by default - that is the point of a shared map. You can make your account private in Settings, and then only followers you approve can see your board. You can delete any moment you have posted at any time.

Who else touches your data

We use a small number of service providers to run Cafeworld: a managed database, auth and file-storage provider (which stores your profile and uploaded photos), our hosting and analytics provider, a map-tile provider, and OpenStreetMap services for cafe and place search. They process data on our behalf. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, make your account private, delete individual moments, and revoke Cafeworld's access from your Google account settings. To get a copy of your data or delete your account entirely, email us at work.khushi2204@gmail.com and we will action it.

Keeping it

We keep your account and content until you delete them or ask us to. Deleted moments are removed from the walls they were on.

Children

Cafeworld is not intended for anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
